Why Is Only One of My TOZO Earbuds Working

Wireless headphones quickly became a bestseller, as their only significant disadvantage is their autonomy. And comfort and convenience quickly eclipse the slightly inflated cost compared to wired models. But the issue of breakages became more complex in wired versions. The vulnerable point was the wire at the plug and the headphone head. Today we will try to answer why only one of my wireless TOZO earbuds works and if it is always a hardware failure.

Why Is One TOZO Earbuds Not Working?

First, look at the situation where the right-left earphone doesn’t turn on. If the headphones are new (just out of the box), check if the case is charged and if the protective stickers have been removed from the charging contacts.

Not all headphones automatically connect to an active Bluetooth device by themselves. Some models have a power button that must be pressed before pairing. In this case, the headset is off – it does not respond to presses or play music, and the indicators on the body are not lit.

By the way, it doesn’t matter if you are using the left or the right TOZO headset – the methods in the article are relevant for both.

Why Is One TOZO Earbuds Not Working?

A prevalent cause is found in many models of headphones on a wide variety of devices. Why are my earbuds not working? Causes can range from taking the headphones out of the case too quickly slowly to failures due to long running time. It can be fixed in two ways:

  1. Put the earphones back in the charging case, and close them. Disconnect pairing with them and turn off Bluetooth on the device by first breaking the pairing. Reactivate Bluetooth and remove the headphones, repeating the pairing procedure;
  2. If this does not help, we recommend trying a full reset. It varies from model to model, but usually, you need to lift the top of the charging case and press the power button. The button does not have to be physical – touch screens work on the same principle. The manual always tells you how to do a full factory reset.

Important! Sometimes the reset may not succeed the first time. Try several times and remember that the headphones must be in the charging case.

Why Does Only One TOZO Earphone Not Charge?

Let’s look at why you know that one TOZO earbud isn’t working due to a low charge. Usually, when the battery is low, the indicators on the earpiece don’t light up (glowing red or blinking depending on the model), and it doesn’t respond to presses. Ensure the case is charged and the protective film removed from the contacts. You can check the case if you have a model displaying the headphone charge as TOZO Golden X1 or on your phone.

Important! Sometimes after a complete discharge, TOZO headphones do not connect and even stop charging. Solving a widespread malfunction can be taking out of the case of working earphones and constantly putting down take out not working. The purpose is to start the battery and make it charge. As soon as the charge goes, the malfunction should disappear. Therefore, it is not recommended to let wireless earbuds and other devices with a battery discharge completely (up to 0%).

We recommend checking the contacts on the headphones for oxidation and in the case. Often it is the movable feet that can stick because of dirt. You can clean with special alcohol wipes, a needle, and a toothpick.

It is also helpful to try charging the case using a different power supply and cable – this may be the problem.

How to Keep Your Battery Alive

Collected simple and practical tips:

  • Do not discharge the battery to zero;
  • Please do not use it for a long time in the cold. Changes from a warm room to a hard frost are also not desirable;
  • Charge properly – wait until discharged to 10-15% and only recharge the case. Use the original cable and compatible docking stations;
  • Initially, buy models with a higher capacity battery, like the TOZO T12 Pro or NC9 Plus. They will last longer as a smaller capacity battery degrades faster;
  • Try not to drown or drop the headphones or look for models with good water resistance.

Pairing TOZO Headphones to Devices

If TOZO earbuds don’t pair, read the instructions in the package. The method may vary from model to model, but most TOZO headphones pair this way:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your device;
  2. Open the case and remove both headphones;
  3. Open the list of active Bluetooth devices and find the model you want. Usually, the name has the following standard format TOZO model name.

When to Call the Service Center

Suppose the above methods did not help. Or before the appearance of faults, you drowned the headphones. They fell from a great height. Contact the service center necessarily, if one headphone does not hold the charge: for 5 – 10 minutes and then abruptly turns off. In this case, this is purely hardware failure, and to fix it reset or settings will not work.
