When choosing a Bluetooth headset, it is important to pay attention to the manufacturer. In most cases, gadgets produced by popular firms are of high build quality and stable operation. But even such a device can stop functioning correctly, so it is necessary to perform a reset. Thanks to this article, you will learn how to reset TOZO earbuds to factory settings, in what situations it is essential to carry out this procedure, and what reset methods exist.
What Is a Factory Reset?
A factory reset is a system operation performed on a particular device. It is also called a hard reset. Smartphones, tablets, computers, smartwatches, headphones, etc., have this feature.
After a hardware reset, the device returns to the factory state. Next, all user settings are deleted. Finally, the gadget is reset to zero, allowing you to configure it as you did immediately after purchase.
When Is the Best Time to Do a Reset
Resetting TOZO earbuds is needed when the headset begins to malfunction, namely:
- headphones do not connect to your smartphone or laptop;
- there is a constant desynchronization;
- only one earpiece sounds;
- the device does not see the headphones.
For example, many users complain that only one TOZO headphone connects to the phone. This happens both in case of improper pairing and in case of a system failure. In the second case, a hard reset is required.
Note! The TOZO factory reset will delete all connections and user settings in the Earbuds App. Re-synchronization will be required.
The forced reset eliminates 90% of system failures and errors. It is more effective than simply disconnecting or reconnecting the earbuds. If the problem persists, we recommend contacting a master.
We remind you that resetting to factory settings does not solve mechanical problems. The reset procedure is only effective at the system level.
How to Reset Tozo Bluetooth Earbuds
Now let’s go straight to the instructions on resetting the TOZO wireless headphones to their factory condition as out of the box.
An important point: we have prepared a universal instruction suitable for most of the company’s headphones. Some models have nuances (for example, the absence of certain buttons on the earpiece body), so the sequence of actions may differ slightly. This is especially true for older models. If the following guide does not work on your device, contact TOZO Support, making sure to include the model name.
Step 1: Disconnect Headphones From Your Device
First of all, disconnect earmolds from your phone or computer. To do this on your smartphone, you need to:
- Go to “Settings”.
- Open “Connections” and select “Bluetooth”.
- In the line “Connected devices” find the name TOZO and click on the gear next to it.
- In the menu that appears, select “Disconnect”. Confirm the action.
The name of the sections differs depending on the model of the device, but the principle is the same everywhere.
On a laptop or desktop computer running Windows 10/11, do the following:
- Go to “Settings”.
- Search for “Bluetooth and devices”.
- Click on the Mouse, Keyboard, Pen, and Audio tab.
- Find the headset and click on the three dots in the available gadgets. Click on “Remove device”.
Temporarily turn off the Bluetooth module on your smartphone/PC, so the headphones do not reconnect automatically.
This completes the disconnection. If you don’t want a full reset, try re-syncing the headphones after disconnecting them. The problem remains – then move on to the next step.
Step 2: Run a System Reset
Let’s move on to the TWS headset action:
- Check the charge level. It must be at least 30-40%. Otherwise, the gadget will shut down during the reset, and the reset operation will not be successful. Charge your TOZO earbuds as necessary.
- Remove the earmolds from the case.
Locate the operation panel on each earpiece and hold it for 10 seconds. Next, press and hold the two ear pads at the same time. - The appearance of purple indication and three short beeps indicates a successful hard reset. Release the panels.
- Place the earmolds in the charging case for a few minutes.
The hardware reset is done, and the headset is in its original state again. The only thing left is reconnecting it to the smartphone and checking its functionality.
Step 3: Reconnect Your Earbuds
We recommend that you reboot your smartphone/computer and re-sync the headphones. Don’t forget to turn on the Bluetooth module.
This article has instructions for pairing the TOZO TWS headset with a laptop, and here are instructions for syncing with Android smartphones and iPhones. The manuals are divided into steps and steps, and even a beginner will have no problem figuring out the sync.
What to Do if Resetting to Factory Settings Doesn’t Work
Sometimes a TOZO hard reset proves ineffective. Users complain that the problem persists.
First, make sure that you performed the hardware reset correctly. For example, the reset fails if you see red instead of purple or the LEDs do not light up. Try again, strictly following the steps in the above instruction.
If the touch buttons do not respond to touch, the cause is mechanical. A technician at a service center can only solve mechanical problems. As noted above, the user can fix only system failures at home.
The rollback occurred, but the problem is not gone – write/call the support service or visit an authorized service center. Specialists will thoroughly test the gadget and fix it. Free repair is guaranteed if the headphones are under warranty and the problem was not the user’s fault.

TOZO-NC2-Cancelling-Headphones and the left bud stopped working. No sound no lights. Tried a reset but it is touch control and cannot tell if the lights are on off when finger is over them. Purchased Oct 23 and very disappointed that have stopped working so quickly
Hey I have TOZO-NC9 and the left earbud works perfectly but the right earbud when I take it out of the case it sounds like it says power off then I can not turn it on by putting it back in the case or holding the touch panel.
I have tried the factory reset but because the right touch panel doesn’t seem to be working it doesn’t turn on.
Could you please help.

I have the black Tozo T9 I believe? Iv only had them maybe a year at most. Never had them around water. Very careful and not clumsy with them. The right earbud out of nowhere wont connect. It says Power on. Then Power off literally immediately after it says power on. It shuts off so fast I can’t even get the reset to work. What do I do????
Hello may I ask what to do if the Left Tozo Earbud just keeps on saying power on? Thank you
Left bud stopped working. I tried to do a reset, but no matter how many times I’ve tried the light never goes to purple. It seems to be a common problem based on the other comments. If this is not resolved, my Amazon review will reflect that this is an inferior product with poor customer support.
I have the Tozo T10 and all of a sudden the left earphone is quieter than the right. I have tried factory reset, connecting to different device etc and nothing fixes it. Very disappointing for them to become faulty after only 7 months use.
I have the TOZO A2 mini, purchased in May 23. They have been working fine for 3 weeks then all of a sudden the right earphone no longer connects and only the left works. I’ve tried repairing and a factory reset but no luck!
I’ve had Tozo T6 since May 10 2023, Right side has never worked correctly and receives Bluetooth signal only intermittently. Left seems okay. When adjusting volume manually on the earbuds, L works independently, but when adjusting on the R earbud, it only affects the volume on the L earbud! I have tried unpairing and resetting and still no change. What can I do next? NOTE: I do not use them with cell phone or computer, only with Bluetooth transmitter connected to a Television, so I must rely on manual manipulation and reset by using the buttons on the earphone and watching the LED indicators only. (Other headphone products work fine with this TV set-up, so I’m fairly certain it’s not a problem with my Bluetooth transmitter.)
I bought two headphones Tozo T6 and in just one week I lost the right two. Does the reset enable the left two to work together?
Perhaps the earphones have a conflict with your transmitter. Check their operation with other mobile devices. If everything is fine there, the transmitter and your earbuds most likely interfere with each other (emitting a different frequency range).
I have Tozo T6s and after only 1 month of use the right earbud has selectively stopped working. Both earbuds work with my phone, but on my laptop only the left one works. Both sides of all other headphones work on my laptop. The words “connected” and “disconnected” can be heard from both headphones while I’m connected to my laptop, and touch sensitivity on the right earbud remains intact, but no other sounds play. I’ve disconnected from all devices and done factory resets easily 15+ times.
Try to connect to another PC. If everything is fine, it is your laptop, not the headphones. Remove earbuds from the list of Bluetooth devices, also update all software and drivers. After the reboot, try adding a new device. Also check this guide.
So my left earbud stop working when I press it into my ear. And I’ve done all the procedure. But when I force it in my ear it glitches on and then off.
I have followed all the instructions and reset my earbuds, but after working perfectly for several months the A-1 right earbud will be glitchy or not play any sound. I occasionally hear a spurt of sound as I rotate it, but it immediately fades. I can’t get it to stay. The button and light still work, but the sound doesn’t.
It may be a mechanical failure. Try connecting to another device. If the problem persists, the earpiece is probably defective.
What if one earbud is a solid purple and does not respond to anything?
I’ve had these for awhile and they have worked well up until a few months ago where the left would cut in and out randomly while outside.
Do the same procedure again. Also, try connecting the earphones to a different smartphone/device.
I have followed instructions/ reset but after working perfectly for several months the NC-9 right earbud will no longer pair. Pressing the right earbud doesnt help. No lights appear on the right earbud but the left one flashes normally, i.e. blue & red.
Have followed instructions/ reset exactly but after working perfectly for two moths the A3 earbuds will no longer pair. The right ear one remains on but the left ear light gives two short flashes and them disappears.
Press both earphones until they flash simultaneously.
